When upset we seek interpersonal relationship; someone to talk to. We have lost our internal calibration and we need the help of someone to mirror our emotions so we can make sense of and reorganise our internal world. Therapist can be this person. Someone who has you in mind. Therapist present to you your mind, not to explain to you who you are but to allow you to find who you are.
Deciding that you need help from a certified professional to help cope with many of life’s challenges is a difficult process. Finding the right person to help you can make this process even harder, especially when there is so many to chose from.
As a Counselling Psychologists I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC). I also hold accreditation in CBT, recognised by the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP).

During my 14+ year career in the NHS and private practice I have specialised in treating depression, complex mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders and bereavement. I have extensive experience working with Eating Disorders and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and in my current role in the NHS I am a senior Counselling Psychologist working in specialist eating disorder service.
My experience of anxiety disorders embodies a comprehensive knowledge of phobias, social anxiety, panic disorders with or without agoraphobia and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
Due to a personal interest I am especially passionate about working with refugees and individuals recovering from traumatic experiences and with individuals experiencing difficulties arising from developmental traumas and childhood abuse. To address difficulties relating to traumatic experiences I draw on Narrative Exposure Therapy, trauma focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
